Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Cypress.
- Create reusable automated test scripts, test cases, and custom commands for web applications.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing.
- Validate REST APIs and perform backend service testing.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery.
- Identify, log, track, and validate defects using Jira or similar defect management tools.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Analyse test results and provide regular status updates, quality metrics, and risk assessments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of automation frameworks, testing processes, and quality standards.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Cypress Automation Testing to support the delivery of high-quality web applications and digital platforms.., * Strong hands-on experience with Cypress Automation Testing.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of Functional, Regression, Integration, and End-to-End (E2E) Testing.
- Experience with API Testing using RESTful services and tools such as Postman.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira.
- Understanding of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable (Not Mandatory):
- Experience working in Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- ISTQB Certification.
- Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Capital Markets environments.
