BMS Commissioning Engineer - Data Centre - Acton, London

As a BMS Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning and successful delivery of Building Management Systems across the project.

You will work closely with the client, electrical contractors, panel manufacturers and engineering teams to ensure systems are correctly configured, commissioned, tested and handed over in accordance with the project specification., * Carry out BMS commissioning and associated testing.

• Manage commissioning activities from initial system setup through to final handover.
• Configure and/or oversee BMS control strategies and software.
• Test systems to ensure they operate in accordance with the design specification.
• Diagnose and resolve BMS, controls and integration issues.
• Coordinate with panel manufacturers, electrical installers and engineering teams.
• Monitor project progress against commissioning programmes and milestones.
• Produce and maintain commissioning documentation and technical records.
• Liaise directly with clients and other project stakeholders.
• Conduct system demonstrations and assist with project handover.
• Ensure systems are fully operational and meet the required design intent and performance standards., We are looking for engineers who can:
• Work independently and take ownership of commissioning activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients and site teams.
• Coordinate effectively with multiple contractors and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve technical problems.
• Work effectively under programme and project deadlines.
• Lead commissioning activities through to successful completion.

We are currently looking for 2 experienced BMS Commissioning Engineers with proven experience delivering at least 5 BMS commissioning projects, including major or complex projects, for a major long-term data centre project in Acton Town, London.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced BMS engineers looking for consistent, long-term work, with approximately 2 years of work available., Applicants should have:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer.
• Proven experience delivering at least 5 BMS commissioning projects, including major or complex projects.
• Strong hands-on BMS commissioning and project delivery experience.
• Experience working with live electrical and control systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and BMS controls.
• Knowledge of BMS commissioning standards applicable in the UK and Ireland.
• Good understanding of control systems, integration and mechanical services.
• Experience reading and working from technical drawings, specifications and commissioning documentation.
• Good understanding of BMS networking protocols, communication systems and relevant IT infrastructure.

BMS Systems

Experience with one or more of the following would be highly desirable:

• Trend
• Schneider Electric
• Tridium
• Johnson Controls Metasys
• Other recognised BMS platforms

Cards / Certifications

Applicants must hold:

• ECS / CSCS Card or equivalent

Desirable certifications:

• SMSTS or SSSTS
• Relevant BMS, controls or Modbus certification would be advantageous, * How many years of experience do you have as a BMS Commissioning Engineer?
