Junior Hardware Engineer

• Testing hardware components to ensure performance and quality standards are met
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware faults
• Replacing components such as CPUs, memory, disks and other core parts
• Provisioning and configuring replacement hardware
• Refurbishing returned systems for reuse
• Carrying out disk wiping / data wiping in line with security procedures
• Completing cleaning, screening and functionality checks on refurbished equipment
• Updating records and maintaining accurate test history / activity logs
• Supporting basic stock control and inventory updates
• Working to workshop processes and quality standards

• Someone keen to learn and develop in a technical, hands-on role
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Basic understanding of components such as RAM, CPUs, hard drives / SSDs

• Able to accurately document work carried out
