Job description
Your new company
A major national organisation is undergoing an exciting content transformation, moving to a headless CMS and building the personalisation capabilities that will shape how supporters and customers experience its digital platforms for years to come. This is a business investing seriously in its digital future, with real budget, real stakeholder buy-in, and a genuinely ambitious roadmap.
Your new role
As IT Project Manager, you’ll lead end to end delivery of a high-profile Content Distribution project, from feasibility through to implementation. You’ll coordinate technical and business stakeholders, manage third party suppliers including major CMS and CRM technology partners, and oversee project governance and delivery across the full lifecycle. Day to day, you’ll be driving structured content models, a headless CMS proof of concept, personalisation capabilities and supporting integrations, while managing stakeholder engagement across Marketing, Fundraising, Digital and IT teams. You’ll also support the production of Gate reviews, business cases and investment recommendations, giving you genuine influence over where this organisation’s digital future goes next. This is a 12-month contract, hybrid working with roughly 2 days a week on-site in the South West of England, paying £450 to £500 a day.
What you’ll need to succeed
You’ll bring a proven track record delivering medium to large scale IT and business change projects, along with genuine, hands-on experience working in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment. You’ll be confident managing multi-disciplinary technical teams, including Architecture, Integration, Development, Test, Security and Data, as well as external suppliers, and comfortable engaging and influencing senior stakeholders and project sponsors. You’ll hold APM PMQ, Prince2 Practitioner, Agile Project Management, MSP or an equivalent project delivery qualification. Experience with headless CMS platforms, content operations, or delivering digital transformation within a charitable, membership or not-for-profit organisation would be a real advantage.
What you’ll get in return
A genuinely high-profile project to lead, real influence over investment decisions and platform direction, and the chance to work with major technology partners on something that will shape this organisation’s digital experience for years to come. Flexible working options available.
