Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimising our data centre infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of critical systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the stability and efficiency of our data services. The position is paid and suitable for candidates with a strong background in IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and software development., * Manage and support data centre hardware, including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.

  • Implement and maintain cloud solutions using AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms.
  • Develop and optimise automation scripts using Python and Java to streamline operations.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across Windows, Linux, and other operating systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy APIs for system integration.
  • Ensure security protocols are adhered to in accordance with industry standards.
  • Support the deployment of DevOps practices within the data centre environment.
  • Maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and updates in line with SDLC best practices.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Operating systems?, * Proven experience working with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud services.

  • Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows and Linux.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure components like servers, storage solutions, and networking hardware.
  • Experience with APIs development and integration processes.
  • Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Oracle databases and database management principles is desirable.
  • Experience working within DevOps environments is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in cloud computing or IT infrastructure are preferred. This role offers an engaging environment for professionals eager to advance their expertise in data centre operations while contributing to innovative technological solutions.
