AI Engineer

This AI Engineer position is a highly technical role focused on designing, building, and scaling production-ready AI applications that power real business and customer-facing experiences. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on expertise developing AI systems, with a particular focus on integrating large language models into robust backend architectures using modern engineering practices. This is not a role for someone whose AI experience is limited to using ChatGPT or experimenting with prompts. The organization is seeking an engineer who has built, deployed, operated, and optimized AI-powered applications in production environments. You’ll work across the full lifecycle of AI systems, from architecture and model orchestration through deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement. Daily Responsibilities

• Design and develop production-grade AI applications and intelligent services - 35%
• Integrate LLMs and AI capabilities into scalable backend systems and microservices - 25%
• Deploy, monitor, evaluate, and optimize AI solutions in production environments - 20%
• Collaborate with engineering teams to establish AI development standards and best practices - 10%
• Research and implement emerging AI technologies to improve platform capabilities - 10%

• For this particular role, we’re really looking for people who have specific experience designing and engineering AI applications
• Strong software engineering experience building backend applications and distributed systems using Java, Kotlin, or similar backend technologies
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying production AI applications that leverage LLMs, GenAI services, or AI agents
• Knowledge of AI application architecture, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, model orchestration, and context management
• Experience monitoring, evaluating, debugging, and optimizing AI systems in production environments
