Job description
- Providing prompt first-level technical support to bank employees via phone, email, or in person, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to Windows operating systems and banking-specific applications.
- Installing, and configuring workstations and peripherals
- Supporting core banking applications and online services
- Support users with Microsoft Office applications and other productivity tools used within banking operations.
- Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory, including account creation, password resets, and access controls aligned with banking security policies.
- Document support incidents and resolutions accurately to add to knowledge base.
- Maintain knowledge of banking technology trends and best practices for secure IT support.
- Collaboration with internal users, clear communication, and adherence to security and banking compliance standards are essential components of the position.
- Assist in implementing IT policies that promote security, data integrity, and operational efficiency within the bank.
Requirements
This position provides first-line technical support specifically tailored to banking staff, ensuring the smooth operation of banking systems, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows environments, banking applications, and network connectivity, supporting the security and compliance standards essential in financial institutions. Experience working within banking or financial services is required to effectively assist banking professionals with their technology needs., * Proven experience in IT support roles within a banking or financial services environment is required.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, LAN/WAN configurations, DNS, VPN, MDM.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware issues related to computer hardware components and mobile devices.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to lift boxes and/or equipment up to 35 pounds
- Willingness to work on-site in Kingwood and support occasional after-hours maintenance or incident response.
