Senior SAP BTP Platform Operations Engineer (US Citizen Only)

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP BTP Platform Operations Engineer to support and operate enterprise-scale cloud platform services within a highly secure and federally compliant environment., * Own end-to-end operational accountability for SAP BTP services across multiple landscapes and environments.

• Lead platform governance, service availability, performance, security, and compliance activities.
• Manage and maintain BTP services, subaccounts, directories, entitlements, and global account configurations.
• Define and enforce operational standards, configuration baselines, change control procedures, and governance policies.
• Serve as a primary escalation point for platform incidents, root cause analysis, remediation, and corrective actions.
• Manage service availability and proactively identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Establish and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks.
• Develop, maintain, and test Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) runbooks.
• Lead incident response activities for platform outages and service degradations.
• Manage the upgrade, patching, and lifecycle processes for SAP BTP services.
• Monitor SAP security advisories and release updates and prioritize remediation activities.
• Manage and maintain platform extensions, configurations, access controls, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Compliance, and Business teams.
• Participate in Change Advisory Boards (CAB), incident reviews, and operational governance meetings.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and service status reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote platform operational best practices.
• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production services.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), platform operations, cloud infrastructure, security, compliance, service ownership, and enterprise-scale environments., * 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) across multiple service categories and environments, or similar large-scale enterprise platforms.

• Experience operating in a FedRAMP-authorized or equivalent federally secured cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of SAP BTP platform operations and service ownership.
• Experience with enterprise-scale, multi-tenant, microservices-based platforms.
• Knowledge of Cloud Foundry architectures and Kubernetes fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of BTP security and identity management, including:
• XSUAA
• Identity Authentication Service (IAS)
• Role Collections
• Trust Configuration
• Access Reviews
• Experience with ITSM processes, including:
• Incident Management
• Change Management
• CAB/RFC
• Problem Management
• Experience with enterprise ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of identity federation, OAuth 2.0, SAML, and zero-trust access principles.
• Understanding of cloud-native service operations, API governance, event-driven architectures, and service dependency management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant platform operations experience.
• Experience managing platform security posture, identity management, access controls, and compliance documentation.
• Experience with enterprise ITSM and change management processes.
• Proven experience with service ownership, SLA accountability, and incident management.
• Basic understanding of cloud networking, including API routing, service endpoints, encryption in transit, and cloud connectivity.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP BTP Certifications.
• SAP Integration Suite experience.
• Previous experience as a Service Owner, Platform Lead, or similar role.
• Experience working in regulated, federal, or national security environments.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and systematic problem-solving skills.
