Electronics Configuration Technician

We are hiring an Electronics Configuration Technician to support the testing, configuration, processing, data erasure, inspection, cleaning, and preparation of electronic devices for inventory and shipment.

In this role, you will work with electronic devices and computer systems while following detailed work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures. You will perform functional testing, enter diagnostic results into computer systems, securely erase data, troubleshoot basic issues, and ensure finished devices meet quality and processing requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and configure electronic devices according to written instructions and procedures.
• Perform functional testing and diagnostic checks on electronic devices and assemblies.
• Identify basic device or equipment malfunctions and report or escalate issues as needed.
• Use computer systems and specialized software to test and process devices.
• Accurately enter testing results, device information, and processing notes into computer systems.
• Perform secure data erasure using approved software, tools, and procedures.
• Verify that sensitive or confidential information has been properly removed from devices.
• Inspect, clean, and prepare finished electronic devices for inventory or shipment.
• Follow diagrams, work instructions, and SOPs to ensure accurate processing.
• Track inventory and asset information using reporting and inventory systems.
• Maintain accurate records throughout the production and processing cycle.
• Handle, move, push, and pull products, carts, and materials as required.
• Maintain equipment and promptly report equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
• Work with team members and other departments to resolve questions, concerns, or processing issues.
• Support different production areas as business needs require.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and workflow.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-3 years of general work experience preferred.
• Comfortable using computers and multiple software applications.
• Strong data-entry and computer skills.
• Ability to work across multiple screens and applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently use hands and fingers to grasp, push, pull, reach, and manipulate products and equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, and reach overhead.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to push and pull carts or palletized products of varying weights.
• Ability to safely climb and descend stairs where applicable.
• Ability to work on a secure mezzanine at heights of up to 40 feet where applicable.
