What You’ll Be DoingLeading the API Platform technical roadmapBuilding and maintaining backend services using PHP (Symfony) and GolangDriving migration from legacy systems to modern API-first architectureDefining API standards, versioning, security, and documentationMaking architectural decisions focused on scalability, resilience, and performanceMentoring and line managing engineersWorking closely with Product and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutionsPromoting engineering best practices through code reviews, testing, and automation

What We’re Looking ForEssential Strong commercial experience with PHP (Symfony) Experience building and maintaining API-driven backend systems Experience working with Golang in production environments Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer Strong understanding of object-oriented design and scalable architecture Experience leading technical decisions and mentoring engineers Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Highly Desirable Legacy modernisation and migration experience Kubernetes and cloud-native environments High-throughput or data-intensive platforms Experience working in regulated industries
