Computer Networks Data Centers Network Security Performance Tuning Computer Networking Systems Nutanix Cisco

Job description

  • This role supports and evolves a Cisco-based enterprise network environment, balancing daily operational needs with active project delivery. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining network performance, reliability, and availability across the organization’s infrastructure.
  • A key focus will be enabling and supporting new initiatives tied to the data center transformation-specifically, configuring network components to support Nutanix deployments and Cohesity integration. This includes ensuring proper connectivity, segmentation, and performance tuning for these platforms.
  • The role also includes supporting a planned hardware refresh, where new network and security appliances will be deployed. While professional services (Forcepoint) will handle much of the implementation, the engineer will be responsible for preparing the environment, configuring networking components, and ensuring seamless integration into the existing infrastructure.
  • Experience with Forcepoint or similar security technologies is a plus, as the environment is evolving to include enhanced security capabilities. Overall, this is a hands-on role requiring strong Cisco networking fundamentals, with exposure to infrastructure modernization and security integration projects.
