IT System Administrator

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Systems Administrator to support the smooth operation of our dental group across our 20 dental practices in the South East of the UK from Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and Wiltshire. This is a key role within the business, responsible for maintaining core IT systems, supporting users, and ensuring reliable day-to-day technology across all sites., You will be the main point of contact for systems support across our practices, helping to keep clinical and administrative teams working efficiently. The role will involve troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting practice management systems, managing user access, and working closely with internal teams and external suppliers., Provide first-line and second-line support for systems and users across 20 practices.

• Maintain and support dental practice systems, including patient administration and reporting tools.

• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and IT security controls.

• Troubleshoot issues with hardware, software, printers, networks, and peripherals.

• Liaise with external IT providers, software vendors, and practice managers.

• Support system updates, backups, and routine maintenance.

• Monitor performance, identify recurring issues, and help improve processes.

• Ensure confidentiality, data integrity, and compliance with relevant policies.

-You may need to attend sites at short notice to resolve operational issues.

Do you have experience in System administration?, Previous experience in systems administration or IT support, ideally in a multi-site environment.

• Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Windows Server, Active Directory, user support, and general networking.

• Experience with cyber security, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and maintaining secure endpoint configurations would be highly desirable

• Experience with dental or healthcare software is desirable, but not essential.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Organised, calm under pressure, and able to manage competing priorities.

• A professional approach to confidentiality and data protection.
