Job description

Have you wanted an opportunity to develop software for an advanced satellite broadband telecom service? In this role you will build software for secure communications and strong authentication, enabling the confidentiality for our customers and security for our constellation. Our team drives the development, deployment, and operation of mission-critical security systems for the Leo constellation and customer terminals. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer interested in building services around public key infrastructure, certificate management, and identity management for Project Leo., At Amazon, security is central to maintaining customer trust and delivering delightful customer experiences. Requirements

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum., 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

  • EXPORT CONTROL REQUIREMENT: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

  • Knowledge of security technology and concepts (Authentication, Authorization, Single sign-on, Cryptography, etc.)

  • Experience with Java, C++, or pother programming languages

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
