The engineer will work closely with electrical engineers, software/firmware engineers, technicians, and PCB layout resources to develop and validate circuit designs., * Design, develop, test, and debug analog and digital electronic circuits and systems to the component level.

  • Assist with board bring-up, bench testing, troubleshooting, and validation of PCBs.
  • Design and build electronic circuits based on reference designs and guidance from the lead electrical engineer.
  • Perform circuit analysis and component selection as required.
  • Create and maintain schematics using schematic capture tools; Cadence experience is preferred.
  • Work closely with PCB layout engineers by providing layout direction and reviewing completed PCB layouts.
  • Review engineering documentation and create Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for design releases.
  • Develop detailed board validation plans, test plans, specifications, and test reports.
  • Personally execute board validation and electrical testing.
  • Develop efficient methods for testing individual circuit sections, including designing custom test fixtures/jigs when needed.
  • Assist software engineers and laboratory technicians with hardware-related testing and troubleshooting.
  • Support bring-up and debugging of other PCBs within the program.
  • Analyze component datasheets and translate hardware requirements into actionable information for software/firmware engineers.
  • Work with interfaces and devices such as I2C and SPI I/O expanders and multiplexers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the development and validation process.
