Job description

• Apply customer payments by matching cash, checks, ACH/wire, and credit card transactions utilizing cash application software.
• Correlate payment remittances accurately to payments, and request remittances as needed.
• Ensure daily productivity goals and established service levels are met.
• Provide outstanding customer service to the sales floor as well as other internal/external customers with professional and timely communication.
• Responding to and working emails in the Cash Application inbox.
• Properly notate cash put on account (unapplied cash), Other AR, and miscellaneous payments.
• Proactively communicate potential issues by addressing them early with leadership.
• Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities.
• Develop a working knowledge of cash applications and how it impacts unapplied cash, broker commission and cash flow.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience in banking, accounts receivable, or payment processing preferred
• Customer service oriented
• Ability to manage time constraints and effectively manage deadlines
• Excellent communication skills with great attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel
• Strong organizational skills
