Mainframe Support

Provide day-to-day support for application development teams utilizing mainframe development tools and utilities. Assist developers with troubleshooting development, testing, and implementation issues. Support code promotion, testing, and deployment activities. Partner with customers to identify process improvements and development efficiencies. Participate in modernization initiatives focused on improving developer productivity., * Provide day-to-day support for application development teams utilizing mainframe development tools and utilities.

• Assist developers with troubleshooting development, testing, and implementation issues.
• Support code promotion, testing, and deployment activities.
• Partner with customers to identify process improvements and development efficiencies.
• Participate in modernization initiatives focused on improving developer productivity.
• Assist in maintaining development support documentation, standards, and procedures.
• Support application-level security administration and access requests as needed.

• JCL
• Security Reporting (using SORT/SyncSort)
• Query skills (DB2/SQL/IMS)

Required Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in CS, IT or other job-related degree, or 4 years of job-related work experience, or 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate’s degree in CS, IT or other job-related degree

Preferred Skills

• Source Control (GitHub, Endevor, IBM DBB, ChangeMan)
• FreezeFrame or DumpMaster
• COBOL programming
• Not looking for distributed programming support (Java/Web)
