Developer III: Mainframe Support

• Troubleshoot development, testing, implementation, and production issues and recommend effective resolutions.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to application development teams using mainframe tools, utilities, and development processes.
• Design, develop, modify, test, debug, document, and maintain application programs and related technical solutions.
• Support code promotion, application testing, deployment, and implementation activities.
• Partner with technical teams and customers to identify process improvements, enhance developer productivity, and support modernization efforts.
• Maintain technical documentation and development standards while participating in security support, vendor initiatives, disaster recovery exercises, and business continuity activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in application development, systems testing, or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated experience working in a mainframe development environment
• Strong working knowledge of JCL.
• Experience with SORT/SyncSort, including security reporting and data-processing activities.
• Proficiency with DB2/SQL and/or IMS query tools.
• Strong understanding of application development, testing, integration, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Preferred Skills/Experience: COBOL programming; GitHub; Endevor; IBM DBB; ChangeMan; FreezeFrame; DumpMaster; and experience supporting mainframe modernization initiatives.
