In collaboration with other Field Superintendents and under the supervision of the Regional Manager, this position will be primarily responsible for the oversight of the operations, strategic planning and personnel management of the Start-Up, Air Balance, and Warranty group within the assigned area., * Lead and oversee all Start-Up ļ¬eld activities to ensure standards and productivity are met in an eļ¬ort to achieve company goals
- Operations

Assist direct reports with o Resource management o Proper team selection including assignment of Forepersons o Project execution strategies and scheduling o Mentor, train, and develop future supervisors (succession planning) to meet current and future business needs. o Weekly project progress, health, and safety reports o Help to provide resolution of issues, challenges, and obstacles o Execution of QA/QC protocols Implementation of Safety Departmentās protocols o Engaging equipment vendors and third-party subcontractors o Implementation of Acco policies and procedures o Understand and ensure compliance with applicable union Collective Bargaining Agreements o Planning for successful project installation
- Job Walks (with/for project management)
- Attend pre-bid & post-bid interviews
- Review bid estimates
- Participation in project kick-oļ¬, mid-job and wrap-up meetings
- Review project documents to determine the proper staļ¬ng requirements
- Assignment of ļ¬eld supervision and labor to projects
- Continuous evaluation of all personnel to ensure performance is at the highest level
- Monitor and advise on quality control measures to ensure high-quality output at or above industry standards
- Evaluate and advise on means and methods of continuous improvement to increase eļ¬ciency and meet project goals
- Review and track project labor budgets
- Fill any project need gaps until job is assigned a ļ¬eld supervisor
- Engage with labor relations representatives to create and foster meaningful, long-term relationships that support company goals including defending and resolving labor disputes
- Knowledge of current building and mechanical code

Encourage communication between the assigned project supervision and the associated PM/PE. Coordinate and assist with problem solving strategies with the PM and assigned supervision when issues rise beyond the scope or understanding/capability of the project supervision assigned.
- Mentor Supervisors, General Forepersons and Forepersons to be elite leaders
- Assist Director in departmental budgets, ļ¬nancial planning and ļ¬eet management as needed
- Other tasks and duties as assigned by Regional Manager and/or upper management
- Strategic Planning
- Understand and support the strategic plan and corporate vision
- Ensure adoption and implementation of standard processes and procedures to achieve high level quality, productivity and eļ¬ciency across ļ¬eld operations
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with Start-Up activities (i.e.: installations, materials, equipment, personnel)
- Ensure safety measures are up-to-date and communicated eļ¬ectively to all ļ¬eld personnel in an eļ¬ort to mitigate risk and reduce liability
- Personnel Management
- Adhere to and promote company policies
- Instill a culture of accountability, integrity, ethics, and respect within the department
- Mentor, train, and develop top performing supervisors (succession planning) to meet current and future business needs and avoid any gaps in strong leadership
- Coordinate labor requests with the local union labor halls
- Responsible for all hiring and termination of union System Operations staļ¬ within the assigned area
- Collaboration
- Create and foster collaborative relationships among leadership teams across varying departments and locations
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects to meet company growth objectives

Requirements

- Strong industry knowledge
- Excellent leadership skills including honesty, integrity, patience, empathy, and a strong work ethic
- Eļ¬ective communicator at all levels of the business
- Experience and deep understanding of the trades (sheet metal, pipe ļ¬tting, process piping, plumbing, electrical, controls, start-up, TAB, site-utilities) and general fabrication practices
- 12+ years of experience in Construction leading projects
- Member of the local United Association union in good standing
- Occasional overtime and weekends will be required
- Willingness and ability to attend ACCO and Union training sessions
- Experience with the various business and corporate software technologies ACCO currently utilizes
- MS Office: Word, Excel, Project
- Google Workspace: Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Forms
- Others: Adobe, Procore, Bluebeam, Box, BuildingStart
- Proficient in English
- Valid driverās license and a clean driving record
- Skilled in reading and interpreting plans and specifications Knowledge of: Local quality, occupational safety, and health regulations for construction job sites * +
Additional Skills/Abilities Preferred, but Not Required:
- Member/aļ¬liate of local apprenticeship training programs
- Degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or architecture
- Experience in remote training software and technologies used within best-in-class organizations
- Software experience:

- Trimble
- Proficient in Spanish
