Job description
M-F 8 am - 5 pm Training in the office, then the role will turn hybrid MUST LIVE IN THE OMAHA, NE AREA - NO relocation is allotted
- Help develop and maintain the vision, roadmap, and strategy for HR technology products, particularly Workday.
- Partner with HR leaders and subject matter experts to understand business needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as the voice of HR users throughout the product lifecycle.
- Own and prioritize the HRIS product backlog based on business value, priorities, resources, and technical considerations.
- Define product requirements, acceptance criteria, priorities, and expected outcomes.
- Lead planning and coordination for major HR technology releases.
- Work closely with HRIS and technology teams on new features, enhancements, integrations, and process improvements.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
- Monitor project progress, dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.
- Serve as a liaison between HR, HRIS, technology partners, and other business groups.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across areas such as payroll, benefits, recruiting, talent management, and HR operations.
- Communicate roadmaps, priorities, project status, risks, and outcomes to leadership.
- Help drive change management and user adoption for new technology capabilities.
- Evaluate new HR technology capabilities and vendor enhancements and determine how they should be prioritized.
- Partner with architecture, security, infrastructure, and development teams when evaluating solutions.
- Ensure HR technology solutions are scalable, maintainable, compliant, and operationally effective.
- Serve as project manager for large, cross-functional HR technology initiatives.
- Ensure project management activities, milestones, and deliverables remain on track.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Agile product leadership.
- Experience leading technology products in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience with product roadmaps, backlogs, sprint planning, and release planning.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Rally, or similar platforms.
- Strong ability to influence stakeholders and build alignment across multiple departments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Workday, including Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Learning, or Integrations.
- Previous experience leading HRIS or HR technology products.
- Experience supporting Workday implementations, enhancements, or major releases.
- Experience working in a large or complex organization.
