Job description

INTECON is seeking a Data Analyst II with hands-on Patriot Excalibur (PEX) expertise to serve as the PEX Trainer for the U.S. Space Force (USSF) Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) at Mission Delta 6, Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs. The PEX Trainer maintains cyber crew qualification and operator history data in PEX, establishes mission schedules and crew assignments, produces the monthly PEX Scorecard, and delivers PEX training to CSSP personnel supporting Mission Delta 6’s approximately 45 aligned space mission systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and control cyber crew mission and mission planning data in Patriot Excalibur (PEX) in support of the USSF Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP).
  • Establish mission schedules and crew assignments via PEX for CSSP operations across Mission Delta 6.
  • Maintain control and accountability of records including cyber qualification data, PEX service data, and operator history via PEX, holding record control errors to no greater than 5%.
  • Create and document metrics for reporting and analysis to improve CSSP operations processes and execution.
  • Produce the monthly PEX Scorecard for USSF CSSP leadership, submitting by the third working day of the month.
  • Support CSSP technology mission integration with systems and applications including PEX, IKE, and ELICSAR (Enterprise Logging Ingest & Cyber Situational Awareness Refinery); coordinate demonstrations, implementation schedules, and CSSP requirements.
  • Design and deliver PEX training for CSSP personnel, including new-user onboarding, refresher training, and process training for schedulers, evaluators, and records custodians.
  • Develop and maintain PEX training curriculum, quick-reference guides, standard operating procedures, and role-based user documentation.
  • Perform data analysis on PEX-managed cyber qualification and operations data to surface trends, gaps, and readiness insights for CSSP leadership.
  • Support the annual USCYBERCOM Maintenance and Sustainment deliverable by providing PEX-derived artifacts including subscriber lists, alignment matrices, and workforce readiness data.
  • Interface with the PEX program office and PEX system owners to advocate for USSF CSSP-specific enhancements, configuration changes, and user account management.
  • Support quality assurance of CSSP products, presentations, policies, and reports for accuracy and completeness where PEX data is a source.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures related to PEX administration, training, and records control.

Requirements

  • Certification requirements in accordance with the DoD 8140 publication series (DODD 8140.01, DODI 8140.02, DODM 8140.03) applicable to the assigned cyber work role, held at the required level at the time of performance.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience administering, managing, or delivering training on Patriot Excalibur (PEX) in a USAF or USSF operations, standardization and evaluation, or unit training environment.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining crew qualification, currency, and operator history data in PEX or comparable operations records systems.
  • Demonstrated experience developing training curriculum, quick-reference guides, and standard operating procedures for a DoD operational system.
  • Ability to produce recurring scorecards, metrics, and analytic products for senior DoD leadership.
  • Experience operating in classified DoD network environments including NIPRNet and SIPRNet.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical or operations field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior assignment as a PEX administrator, PEX manager, PEX chief, or training and standardization/evaluation (Stan/Eval) lead in a USAF or USSF cyber, space, or intelligence unit.
  • Prior experience supporting the USSF CSSP, Mission Delta 6, Space Operations Command (SpOC), or any USSF Cyber Squadron (62 CYS, 64 CYS, 65 CYS, 68 CYS, 69 CYS, 645 CYS).
  • Familiarity with ACC Manual 17-2ACD Volume 3 or comparable ACC cyber crew qualification and training standards.
  • Working knowledge of IKE (Integrated Cyber Environment), ELICSAR, and adjacent JCC2 / Unified Platform tools.
  • Prior experience supporting Air Force PEX program office activities or PEX Configuration Control Board (CCB)., * Do you have an active Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information eligibility (TS/SCI) clearance?
