Job description
- Design, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system availability and efficiency
- Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking hardware/software
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Collaborate with IT team members to support servers, cloud services, and other infrastructure systems
- Document network configurations, processes, and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, or similar) and firewalls
- Knowledge of network security practices and compliance standards
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
