Job description

Install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Ethernet switches, and VoIP systems to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct fiber splicing and cabling work using low voltage wiring standards such as Cat5, Cat6, and NEC-compliant electrical practices.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on computer hardware, telecommunication equipment, CCTV systems, and data center infrastructure.
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately install or repair systems in accordance with industry standards.
Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform cabling runs, equipment mounting, and hardware repairs in various environments.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system status, troubleshooting steps, and maintenance procedures.
Document all work performed through detailed reports while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards., * Can you install and troubleshoot alarm systems (burglar and fire alarm systems).
Can you install hardware networking devices like APs and routers and switches?
Can you setup and troubleshoot CCTV systems, and install/troubleshoot surveillance cameras?
Can you install and troubleshoot Servers (Hardware and Software)?
Are you able to install and troubleshoot Audio Visual Systems?
Can you install Digital Signage and Wall Mounted TVs?
Are you able to Install and Troubleshoot Networking Systems? And do you have patch cables and CISCO console cables for this kind of work?
Can you Install and Troubleshoot Point of Sale Devices?
Can you install and troubleshoot printers and/or photocopiers?
Can you install and troubleshoot Telephone Lines, POTS Lines, and do you have tools for TELCO work (e.g Tone generator, Punch down tools, ButtSett)?
Can you setup and troubleshoot Desktops and Laptops (replacing parts in a laptop or desktop)?
Are you able to install and terminate Fiber Cables, and do you have fiber cable management tools and a fiber cable tester?
Can you install ethernet CAT cable, terminate CAT cables, and do you have cable management tools and a cable tester?
Do you have a reliable vehicle for commuting to customers’ locations to execute assigned work orders?

Requirements

Proven experience as a service technician in IT or telecommunications fields with a strong background in network installation and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN configurations, Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), VLANs, and network security fundamentals.
Familiarity with Cisco routers, Juniper networking equipment, Avaya telephony systems, and VoIP technology.
Knowledge of fiber splicing techniques along with experience working in data centers or telecommunication environments.
Ability to use testing tools such as ohmmeters for electrical measurements and troubleshoot low voltage systems effectively.
Prior work involving CCTV installation or maintenance using schematics for surveillance system setup is highly desirable.
Strong electrical experience combined with proficiency in using hand tools like crimpers, wire strippers, drills, power saws, and other essential equipment for field service tasks.
