Job description

Our client is seeking a Network Engineer L2 to support the expansion and modernization of its enterprise network, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure networking., * Build, configure, and troubleshoot Azure networking infrastructure, including VNets, subnets, route tables, NSGs, VPNs, Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall.

Support Azure cloud expansion, hybrid connectivity, resiliency, and network modernization initiatives.
Create and maintain Terraform/IaC templates for repeatable Azure infrastructure deployments.
Troubleshoot routing, VPN, DNS, firewall, WAN, and cloud connectivity issues.
Configure and support Zscaler ZIA and ZPA, including secure Internet and private application access.
Assist with Cisco routing/switching, firewalls, Meraki, WAN, and other network technologies.
Support network upgrades, migrations, incident response, root cause analysis, and infrastructure changes.
Coordinate technical implementations with internal teams, vendors, carriers, and service providers.
Maintain network documentation, standards, diagrams, and procedures.
Participate in technical escalation and on-call support as needed.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience building, deploying, and troubleshooting Azure network infrastructure, along with experience using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This role will support continued Azure expansion across East and West Coast environments, hybrid connectivity, and cloud modernization initiatives., * Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure networking experience - the #1 requirement.

Experience deploying and troubleshooting Azure VNets, subnets, NSGs, VPNs, Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall.
Hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, including creating reusable templates.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and NAT.
Experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA or similar secure access technologies.
Experience troubleshooting Azure, on-premises, WAN, VPN, and Internet connectivity.
Familiarity with Cisco networking, firewalls, and Meraki.
Ability to independently troubleshoot complex network issues.
Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work occasionally onsite in the Newark / Dover, Delaware area.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with large-scale Azure migrations, cloud expansions, or multi-region environments.
PowerShell, Python, REST API, or network automation experience.
SCADA/operational technology networking experience.
Azure, Terraform, Zscaler, or Cisco certifications.
