Warehouse & Dispatch Operative (Forklift / Stock Control)

This is a varied, hands-on role combining warehouse operations, stock control, dispatch and seed processing activities. You will play an important role in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time, whilst also supporting the preparation of seed for sale through cleaning, treatment and processing activities.

The role involves both physical warehouse work and the use of our Microsoft Dynamics Business Central stock management system. Full training will be provided on our specialist seed processing equipment and procedures.

Main Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders
• Processing warehouse transactions using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
• Recording stock movements and maintaining accurate stock records
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Organising warehouse storage areas and maintaining housekeeping standards
• Assisting with stock counts and inventory control
• Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training provided where required)
• Supporting seed processing and operational activities as required
• Working safely and following company quality procedures

Do you have experience in Warehouse management?, * Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

• Basic computer skills and confidence using business software
• Good spoken and written English
• Ability to undertake manual handling duties, including lifting items weighing up to 25kg
• Previous warehouse, dispatch or logistics experience
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Forklift truck licence or experience
• Experience using warehouse management, stock control or ERP systems
• Experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central
• Experience processing customer orders and stock transactions within a computerised stock control system
