Job description

  • Installation and Configuration of Starburst
  • Coordinate, plan, and execute activities related to platform maintenance, Disaster Recovery, and Software release management
  • Handle L3+ escalation for Platform Issue resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Configure and tune production and lower-level environments
  • Perform Capacity & Stability monitoring and assist with Platform metrics collection and reporting
  • Contribute to definition, review, documentation & communication of standards and Best Practices
  • Create alerting, dashboards, SLA/SLO metrics, and capacity planning models
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for cluster performance, failures, and foundational stability issues

Requirements

Our client is looking for a Starburst Platform Support Data Engineer to support new onboardings and GEN AI projects on Starburst. This position involves end-to-end platform administration and support tasks across the Starburst shared platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in production support activities such as version upgrades, patch installations, and migrations across environments., * 10+ years of relevant IT development experience

  • Hands-on experience with the Starburst Software Installation and Configuration
  • Working knowledge of Openshift/Kubernetes
  • Proven troubleshooting and issues resolution skills
  • Ability to analyze and communicate root cause and resolution steps
  • Familiarity with Starburst Software Best Practices
  • Working knowledge of the Starburst software security model and adaptability
  • Experience with connectivity configuration for Starburst
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
