Job description

TalentNova Solutions Information Technology Services Department has an opening for a Network Engineer, reporting to the IT Design & Delivery Manager. The primary responsibilities for this position include assisting with the design, implementation, and escalated support of our enterprise Global LAN/WAN environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical fundamentals and an eagerness to adapt our network to meet the growing demands of modern distributed workforces and the expanding proliferation of connected endpoint devices., Design, implement, and provide Tier 3/escalated support for enterprise network systems, including:

  • Assisting in the configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Supporting day-to-day LAN/WAN connectivity, VPN solutions, and remote-access infrastructure.
  • Monitoring network performance, analyzing traffic trends, and resolving infrastructure bottlenecks.
  • Participating in network capacity planning, hardware lifecycle upgrades, and security patching.
  • Documenting standard operating procedures, architectural diagrams, and network configuration baselines.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional IT and operations teams to integrate new network-connected devices.

Requirements

  • Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience in network administration, network engineering, or a related technical support role (entry-level to early-career candidates with strong foundational knowledge or relevant project experience are welcome to apply).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or equivalent practical/vocational experience.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Subnetting, Routing Protocols like OSPF/BGP).
  • Hands-on familiarity or lab experience with enterprise network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Aruba).
  • Understanding of basic firewall security, VPN configurations, and wireless technologies.
  • Certifications (Preferred but not required): CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or related entry-level networking certifications.
  • Core Competencies:
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Eagerness to learn emerging network standards and cloud networking concepts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
