Java Developer

• Investigate production issues and perform detailed root-cause analysis
• Propose and implement long-term fixes to improve platform stability, resilience, and supportability
• Develop a strong technical and functional understanding of the applications and workflows within the derivatives processing estate
• Work closely with business users to understand issues, requirements, and operational pain points
• Partner with technology risk teams to ensure the platform continues to meet required standards and controls
• Support incident management and follow-up remediation with development teams
• Help improve operational efficiency and support the onboarding and UAT of new products and business initiatives

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 2-4 years of backend development experience, ideally in Java or Python
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Clear and confident communication skills
• Ability to perform complex debugging and root-cause analysis in production environments
• Application development using object-oriented or relational databases such as MongoDb or PostgreSQL
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate proactively in a fast-paced environment, * Experience in banking technology or financial services
• Exposure to OTC derivatives or trade processing platforms
• Familiarity with UNIX or Linux environments
• Experience working with middleware and distributed systems
