Insight Analyst

This position is based within the Data Analytics team, part of the wider Strategy and Insights function, which is collectively responsible for providing timely insights on business health and for the development and delivery of G-Researchs strategy.

As an Insight Analyst, you will be at the forefront of data-driven decision making across a business operating at the cutting edge of technology, working closely with senior leadership to structure, analyse and drive outcomes for complex and strategic problems., * Leading and delivering projects to improve business performance and decision making, using a variety of analytical and modelling techniques

• Supporting the smooth running and augmentation of business operations through the provision of insight on metrics that matter
• Working with senior leadership to identify key hypotheses and assumptions, quantifying and challenging throughout
• Building strong relationships across the business, proactively seeking the context needed to frame and solve the right problems
• Visualising and communicating insights in a way which resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Providing technical oversight and advice on modelling and simulation projects, mentoring other members of the team
• Building, deploying and operating products to deliver trusted insight

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Practical experience in a business analytics setting, with demonstrable experience owning and delivering end-to-end analytics projects from data extraction to outputs that create business impact
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage C-Suite stakeholders
• An innovative, adaptable mind-set and a desire to continuously improve every aspect of how we work and a willingness to evangelise best practice and mentor colleagues
• Ability to dissect ambiguous problems, identify key drivers and determine the appropriate analytical techniques, underpinned by the ability to apply statistical methods to analysis
• Experience of modelling and simulation, such as discrete events, systems dynamics and optimisation, is highly preferential
• Strong systems thinking with a focus on quality and trust - understanding how the component pieces fit together
• An understanding of AI-enabled development, with sound judgement on when and why to apply these tools
• Strong technical capability, with experience in SQL and Python highly beneficial (other coding skills advantageous)
• Experience creating compelling visualisations, whether through tools such as Tableau or Power BI, or via front-end UX development
