Job description

We are seeking a skilled contractor to support the AI Risk Governance team within Enterprise Risk Management. This hands-on, execution-focused role combines program coordination with direct ownership of key deliverables. The ideal candidate understands how enterprise AI governance programs operate, works independently, and is comfortable supporting an active governance program while helping strengthen its processes. This is not a strategy, advisory, AI engineering, or technical model validation role., Governance Operations

  • Support the AI review team and AI governance lifecycle workflow.
  • Coordinate working-group meetings, including agendas, pre-read materials, briefing documents, and follow-up actions.
  • Serve as a liaison among governance functions to ensure effective handoffs.
  • Track and report open action items, escalations, milestones, and program commitments.
  • Prepare status reports, presentations, and briefing materials for senior leadership and governance committees.

Program Execution

  • Review and update governance documentation, including policies, procedures, standards, and templates, based on established guidance.
  • Develop and maintain project plans.
  • Own program roadmap deliverables from planning through implementation in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Draft and execute program communications, including stakeholder notifications, training materials, and reference guides.
  • Support ongoing improvements that strengthen the AI governance program.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in governance, risk, or compliance, preferably within financial services or insurance.
  • Working knowledge of AI governance concepts, including AI use-case risk assessments, responsible AI principles, and relevant regulatory expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate programs while independently executing deliverables.
  • Strong project coordination, organization, and action-tracking skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience preparing governance documents, executive-level materials, and stakeholder communications.
  • Ability to balance program-level coordination with detailed, hands-on execution.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple stakeholders., * Experience supporting a formal AI governance, model risk, or enterprise risk management program.
  • Familiarity with the NIST AI Risk Management Framework or similar frameworks.
  • Experience supporting executive committees through agenda preparation, briefing materials, and action tracking.
  • PMP, AIGP, or related certifications are a plus
