Job description
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Senior Developer / Solution Architect to own the technical design, implementation, and optimization of our cross-channel marketing automation engine. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution-designing complex customer journeys, optimizing data structures, and ensuring seamless execution across all campaigns. You must be comfortable working autonomously, providing technical guidance to marketing stakeholders, and troubleshooting production issues in real time. Key
Responsibilities:
-
Architecture & Journey Design: Architect, build, and maintain multi-channel journeys in Journey Builder using entry event triggers, decision splits, engagement splits, and custom API integrations.
-
Automation & Data Engineering: Design data extensions, contact models, and automation workflows in Automation Studio using SQL queries, SSJS, and Import/Export activities to maintain clean, scalable data relationships in Contact Builder.
-
Dynamic Personalization: Write robust AMPscript, Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS), and Dynamic Content blocks to power highly personalized email campaigns and web experiences at scale.
-
Campaign Execution & Delivery: Oversee end-to-end setup and delivery of email, SMS, and push campaigns via Email Studio and Mobile Studio, enforcing email deliverability best practices, IP warming protocols, and Sender Authentication Package (SAP) compliance.
-
Stakeholder Support & Governance: Act as the primary technical subject matter expert (SME) for marketing teams-troubleshooting journey errors, resolving data drop-offs, defining audience segmentation logic, and documenting technical workflows.
-
System Integration: Collaborate with backend and CRM engineering teams to integrate SFMC with Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud (via Marketing Cloud Connect) and external data sources using REST/SOAP APIs. Required Skills & Qualifications
Requirements
-
SFMC Expertise: 3-4+ years of hands-on technical experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Customer/prospect Engagement tool).
-
Core Tool Mastery: Advanced proficiency with Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and Content Builder.
-
Technical Languages: Strong expertise in SQL (SQL Server dialect) for complex audience segmentation, AMPscript for advanced message personalization, and working knowledge of SSJS, HTML, and CSS.
-
Data Modeling: Solid understanding of relational database principles, primary/foreign key relationships, and data retention policies within SFMC.
-
Autonomy & Problem Solving: Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, triage production incidents, and translate non-technical marketing requirements into technical implementations. Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
Salesforce Certifications:
Required/Strongly Preferred:
- Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Developer
-
Bonus: Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Administrator or Marketing Cloud Consultant / Solution Architect
-
Hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud Connect integration to Salesforce CRM.
-
Familiarity with MobileStudio (SMS/Push), CloudPages, and interactive content.
- Exposure to Web Analytics (Google Analytics 4 / Salesforce Intelligence) and reporting.
