Job description
This role supports next-generation autonomous vehicle platforms by integrating, validating, and troubleshooting software, electrical, and communication systems. You will work hands-on with prototype and pre-production vehicles, collaborating closely with software, systems, and vehicle integration teams to deploy software releases, integrate vehicle hardware, support wire harness builds and modifications, and diagnose complex issues across vehicle networks and embedded systems. The position is ideal for someone who combines strong software integration experience with a solid understanding of automotive electrical systems, wire harnesses, and vehicle communication protocols. Responsibilities
- Integrate and validate software releases on autonomous vehicle platforms, ensuring reliable performance across all vehicle systems.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot embedded software, firmware, and vehicle-level applications to support development and fleet operations.
- Support vehicle bring-up activities for prototype and pre-production vehicles, including initial configuration and system readiness checks.
- Perform wire harness installation, routing, modifications, repairs, and continuity verification to maintain robust electrical connectivity.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness drawings to guide integration and troubleshooting activities.
- Diagnose software and hardware integration issues using CAN, Ethernet, and a variety of diagnostic tools to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Collect software logs and vehicle network data to support detailed root cause investigations and system-level analysis.
- Flash electronic control units (ECUs) and verify successful deployment of software updates across vehicle systems.
- Conduct vehicle-level functional testing and system verification to confirm proper operation of integrated software and hardware.
- Collaborate with software, controls, systems, and hardware engineering teams to resolve integration issues and improve system robustness.
- Support autonomous vehicle testing, development activities, and fleet operations through hands-on work with vehicles and test setups.
- Document defects, test results, and corrective actions within engineering tracking systems to maintain clear records and traceability.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and configuration management processes throughout integration and test activities.
