Job description

The Senior Manager, Technology Strategy, leads market technology readiness assessments, translate country-specific requirements into actionable capability plans, and coordinate cross-functional launch readiness across Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Compliance, and Operations. You’ll develop reusable expansion playbooks, assess jurisdictional complexity, identify risks and dependencies, support stage-gate decisions, and help determine the right global-versus-local operating model for each market. This role is ideal for a strategic operator who can navigate ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, and turn complex market requirements into scalable solutions.

About the team:

Our team partners closely with senior leadership, legal, compliance, operations, and product groups to maintain high standards in contractor earnings programs. We lead strategic initiatives that enhance compliance, transparency, and operational efficiency while improving the contractor experience. By integrating project management, data management, and continuous improvement, we support sustainable growth and trust. Focused on operational excellence and effective problem solving, the team drives seamless execution and innovation across procure-to-pay activities, fostering strong partnerships and delivering measurable business outcomes aligned with company objectives.

What you’ll do…

  • Lead global technology capability development for our gig platform, helping bring new markets into a scalable earnings, tax, and controls operating model.
  • Assess market and jurisdictional complexity, including operational, regulatory, technology, data, and service-delivery implications.
  • Build and maintain market expansion playbooks, readiness frameworks, and launch criteria.
  • Coordinate cross-functional readiness across Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Operations, and market teams.
  • Identify key risks, dependencies, capability gaps, and resourcing needs before launch.
  • Support go/no-go and scale-readiness decisions with clear, fact-based recommendations.
  • Define the right balance of global standards and local market requirements.
  • Help create reusable capabilities so future market expansion becomes faster, more consistent, and easier to scale.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in strategic planning and technology strategy development within complex business environments.
  • Strong project management skills, including risk mitigation, schedule tracking, and adherence to milestones.
  • Ability to develop and communicate clear strategic roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Experience in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation for multiple projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills to influence and build consensus.
  • Proficiency in gap analysis, process improvement, and automation to drive operational excellence.
  • Capability to translate business requirements into actionable technology solutions.

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business, finance, strategy, or related area and 8 years’ experience in retail, eCommerce, strategy, operations, technology, management consulting, or related area

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09050: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Sunnyvale, California US-11807: The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279: The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
