Backend Engineer

• 5+ years of professional JavaScript development experience\n
• 5+ years developing backend applications with Node.js\n
• 2+ years working with Express.js or similar backend frameworks\n
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs\n
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design\n
• Solid understanding of backend architecture and scalable system design\n
• Experience building applications in the fintech, payments, banking, lending, or marketplace space strongly preferred\n
• Comfortable troubleshooting production issues and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams\n
• Self-starter who takes ownership, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-moving environment\n

• Design and build backend services powering fintech and SaaS products for healthcare customers\n
• Develop scalable APIs and database schemas for new product features\n
• Build and maintain Node.js applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and security\n
• Investigate and resolve production issues in partnership with Customer Support\n
• Estimate development effort and proactively communicate progress, risks, and blockers\n
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver new functionality\n
• Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices as the platform continues to scale\n
• Help shape a rapidly growing product roadmap while working in a high-performance, collaborative engineering culture\n
