Senior Backend Engineer in Washington

• 5+ years of professional JavaScript development experience \n

• 5+ years developing backend applications with Node.js \n

• 2+ years working with Express.js or similar backend frameworks \n

• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs \n

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design \n

• Solid understanding of backend architecture and scalable system design \n

• Experience building applications in the fintech, payments, banking, lending, or marketplace space strongly \n

• Comfortable troubleshooting production issues and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams \n

• Self-starter who takes ownership, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-moving environment

• Design and build backend services powering fintech and SaaS products for healthcare customers \n

• Develop scalable APIs and database schemas for new product features \n

• Build and maintain Node.js applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and security \n

• Investigate and resolve production issues in partnership with Customer Support \n

• Estimate development effort and proactively communicate progress, risks, and blockers \n

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver new functionality \n

• Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices as the platform continues to scale \n
