Software Engineer: III (Senior)

job summary: Join our enterprise technology team as a Senior HCM Integration Engineer and key technical leader. In this role, you will partner directly with HR and IT leadership to architect, build, and optimize critical data integrations across our enterprise HCM ecosystem. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring system resiliency, establishing engineering best practices, and connecting core platforms with major external benefit, payroll, and equity partners.

responsibilities: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the design, development, and support of end-to-end integrations between Oracle HCM Cloud and external platforms (including Fidelity, Shareworks, and Aetna).

Develop custom OIC integrations, REST/SOAP APIs, HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL data loaders, Fast Formulas, and RTF/XSLT templates.

Configure and maintain HCM security roles, workflows, approval routing, and Visual Builder Studio (VBS) page customizations.

Conduct code and architecture reviews, establish engineering runbooks, and mentor team members to build operational redundancy.

Serve as an escalation lead for production troubleshooting, system monitoring, and root-cause analysis on critical data pipelines.

qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience with a strong focus on HCM platform integrations.

Proven technical mastery of Oracle HCM Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, and Fast Formulas.

Demonstrated leadership experience guiding technical architecture, CI/CD practices, and engineering standards.

Must reside within commuting distance of Bellevue, WA; Madison, NJ; New York City, NY; or Boston, MA (for post-conversion hybrid schedule).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in SOX-compliant or enterprise-regulated environments.

Hands-on experience with Visual Builder Studio (VBS) and custom HCM security role creation.

Background in Agile/Scrum development environments using Jira.
