Step into a key technical leadership role supporting HCM integrations in a complex enterprise environment. This position partners closely with HCM leadership to provide architectural guidance, strengthen operational resilience, and help ensure critical systems supporting benefits, payroll, equity, and employee data run smoothly. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical counterpart to HCM integration leadership, providing continuity and day-to-day technical direction.
  • Support integrations across HCM and third-party platforms, including benefits, payroll, equity, identity, and employee data systems.
  • Guide solution architecture, design reviews, code quality, testing, deployment practices, monitoring, and production support.
  • Act as a secondary escalation point for critical issues and help drive timely, thoughtful resolution.
  • Strengthen operational coverage through documentation, knowledge transfer, cross-training, and clear ownership models.
  • Partner with stakeholders on roadmap planning, prioritization, vendor coordination, and delivery execution.
  • Mentor engineers and help promote consistent engineering practices across the team.
  • Support incident management, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements for business-critical systems.
  • Help ensure integrations have appropriate monitoring, escalation paths, recovery procedures, and backup coverage.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise application engineering, HCM technology, integrations, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in a lead, principal, or staff-level engineering role with responsibility for technical direction.
  • Hands-on experience supporting HCM platforms and complex integrations in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud, OIC, Oracle HCM APIs, HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, and related Oracle integration tools.
  • Experience with integration patterns such as REST/SOAP APIs, middleware/iPaaS, SFTP/file-based transfers, batch processing, and event-driven solutions.
  • Ability to build and support HCM integration templates, fast formulas, and value sets.
  • Understanding of HCM security concepts, including users, roles, access controls, and AOR support.
  • Experience with Visual Builder Studio support for page customizations.
  • Knowledge of HCM workflows, including routing, notifications, and approvals.
  • Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
  • Experience across the software development lifecycle, including design, development, review, testing, deployment, monitoring, and change management.
  • Ability to identify risks, challenge technical decisions constructively, and guide scalable solutions.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting large-scale HCM portfolios across multiple vendors and business functions.
  • Background supporting major implementations, migrations, or platform modernization efforts.
  • Experience working with distributed onshore and offshore teams.
  • Familiarity with SOX-controlled or similarly regulated enterprise environments.
  • Experience helping establish on-call models, SLAs/SLOs, monitoring, and escalation frameworks.
  • Experience reducing single points of failure through cross-training and succession planning.
  • Proficiency with Jira for backlog management, planning, and sprint ceremonies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
