Job description
Lead technical design for microservices, database modernization, and API integration. Perform hands-on SQL Server/T-SQL development, including schemas, stored procedures, views, indexing, and performance tuning. Support .NET/C# backend API development and data-access patterns. Design and support Azure Data Factory (ADF) ETL/migration pipelines. Modernize databases and align schemas with microservice boundaries. Participate in architecture, code reviews, and technical documentation. Provide technical leadership to senior developers and collaborate with PM/SM and SMEs. Work with BA, QA, DevOps, Cloud, and CAB teams for successful delivery. Support PCI, data retention, security, and audit/compliance requirements.
Requirements
10+ years overall IT experience. 7+ years SQL Server development. 5+ years .NET/C# backend development. 3-5 years Technical Lead experience. 3+ years modernization/migration project experience. 3+ years Azure SQL on IaaS VM environments. 3+ years Azure Data Factory / ETL experience. 3+ years working with Agile/project delivery teams. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred 2+ years state government or transportation experience. Experience in regulated/audited environments. 2+ years exposure to microservices architecture.
