SENIOR DATA ANALYST

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing complex business data, developing actionable insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. This position works closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to develop reports, dashboards, data models, and analytical solutions that improve business performance and operational efficiency., Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and business risks. Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and performance metrics using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources. Translate business requirements into analytical solutions, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools. Partner with Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, IT, and other departments to understand business needs and provide data-driven recommendations. Develop and maintain data models and reporting datasets to support business intelligence initiatives. Perform data validation, quality checks, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency. Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and improve reporting processes. Conduct trend analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, and root-cause analysis. Prepare executive-level reports and presentations that clearly communicate key findings and recommendations. Monitor business KPIs and provide insights into performance against goals and targets. Assist with data governance, documentation, definitions, and reporting standards. Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to improve data availability and reliability. Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on analytical methods, reporting standards, and best practices. Support strategic projects and ad-hoc analysis as requested by management. Maintain confidentiality and security of business and customer data.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 4-7 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytical role. Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik. Experience developing dashboards, KPIs, and management reports. Strong understanding of data analysis, data modeling, and business intelligence concepts. Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable business insights. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Python, R, or other analytical programming languages. Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data warehouse concepts. Experience with financial, operational, sales, or customer analytics. Familiarity with data governance and data quality practices. Experience mentoring junior analysts or leading analytics projects.
