Job description
Insight Global is looking for an Expert Applications Architect (Senior Microsoft Power Platform & Copilot Studio Engineer - State Government/Regulated Environment) to support our client in the government sector. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, deployment, and support of Microsoft Copilot Studio solutions within a secure, regulated environment. The individual builds and integrates AI agents with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, Dataverse, and enterprise systems to support knowledge discovery, workflow automation, and decision-making while ensuring compliance with governance, security, accessibility, privacy, and records retention requirements. They establish architecture standards, ALM processes, and deployment pipelines; monitor performance and troubleshoot issues; maintain audit-ready documentation; and serve as a subject matter expert on Copilot Studio capabilities. Additionally, they partner with business stakeholders, security, legal, and compliance teams to identify high-value AI use cases, guide adoption, provide technical leadership, and ensure solutions align with enterprise AI governance and state IT policies.
The position serves as a senior technical authority, partnering with business units, information security, compliance, and platform governance teams to ensure Copilot solutions are production ready, supportable, and aligned with public sector policies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse). * Hands on experience building and managing Microsoft Copilot Studio agents. * Strong understanding of enterprise security, governance, and compliance controls. * Experience working in government, public sector, or highly regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare, education). * Ability to document solutions clearly for audits, compliance reviews, and operational support. * Experience supporting state or federal government IT environments. * Familiarity with records management, data classification, and privacy controls. * Experience extending or governing Microsoft 365 Copilot in an enterprise setting. * Knowledge of accessibility, risk management, and public sector technology standards.
