SAP TM (TPS) Configuration Specialist

• Lead the design, configuration, and support of Transportation Protective Services processes.
• Configure protective services order management, planning, carrier selection, and execution.
• Work on solutioning and coordinating with Hazmat development needs for business rules.
• Oversee protective services settlement and charge calculation processes.
• Support protective services cost visibility and analytics.
• Manage enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper integration between Transportation Protective Services and other SAP modules (e.g., TM, FI, MM, SD).
• Configure protective services settlement documents and invoice verification processes.
• Support automatic posting of protective services costs within SAP and relevant interfaces.
• Ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams on protective services invoice reconciliation.
• Work closely with S4 HANA, TM, Financial Accounting, MM, SD, extended warehouse management, and interfaces for the financial system of record.
• Experience working with carriers to ensure seamless integration and communication.

SAP TM (TPS) Configuration Specialist

Experience - 10+ years

Client is looking for an SAP TM (TPS) Configuration Specialist to support our new program for the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). This role involves designing, configuring, and optimizing Transportation Protective Services (TPS) solutions within SAP Transportation Management, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules and interfaces., * Must have 7+ years of experience in Transportation Protective Services within SAP Transportation Management.

• Strong knowledge of protective services settlement and cost distribution.
• Hands-on configuration experience in Transportation Protective Services and FI.
• Must have a deep understanding of integration points between Transportation Protective Services, FI, SD, and MM.
• Experience with protective services cost calculation, settlement documents, invoice verification, general ledger account determination, and cost postings.
• Experience with end-to-end orders to cash and procure to pay processes.
• Must have strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, team-focused individual with a sense of urgency.
• Strong business process knowledge in logistics.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to measure success on on-time project delivery.
• Experience working with carriers to ensure seamless integration and communication.

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with embedded Transportation Protective Services in SAP S4 HANA.
• Experience with intercompany protective services billing.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition impacts protective services charges.
• Familiarity with EDI/API integrations with carriers.
• Federal or Public sector environment.
• Experience in global transportation.
• DoW IAT Level I Baseline Certification.
• BS/BA degree or equivalent.
• Certification in SAP TM or FI.
