Job description
- Install, configure, and maintain servers in Linux environments.
- Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor Linux server health using automated and manual processes.
- Design, develop, and implement infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools using BASH and PowerShell.
- Perform server hardware maintenance and upgrades.
- Create test automation frameworks in collaboration with team members and other IT groups.
- Develop tools to increase functionality and efficiency of infrastructure.
- Maintain software repositories and apply software updates.
- Maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and programs.
Requirements
We are seeking a Linux Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Linux system engineering, automation, and infrastructure monitoring and a proven ability to design, implement, and maintain secure, reliable Linux environments while improving operational efficiency through scripting and tooling., * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience working with Linux operating systems in production.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Ruby, Perl, or a related language; proficiency with BASH.
- Experience with Ping, SSO, and certificate management.
- Knowledge of automation technologies and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments.
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Apache, MySQL, and Nginx.
- Solid understanding of configuration management tools such as Puppet and Chef.
- Knowledge of databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, or DB2.
- Experience with application support, web technologies, APIs, and microservices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud computing.
- Experience with open-source application suites such as WordPress or Drupal.
- Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Work Arrangement & Interview Process
- Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week. Onsite day 1.
- Start window: October or November.
- Interview process: 1-2 rounds. In-person required. Video required.
- No sponsorship now or in the future.
