Job description

Our Transition Managers lead large service transitions, end-to-end, providing innovation in solution design, maximizing commercial benefit and delivering operational efficiency, whilst ensuring client expectations are met.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

  • You will lead the transition input to our bids developing viable solutions, plans and costs, balancing commercial risk and price competitiveness.
  • You manage the whole process of transferring services from incumbent service providers into Capgemini, ensuring service levels are maintained throughout.
  • You run transition projects so that they meet agreed project and service level objectives, by the target dates, within the agreed costs.
  • You develop innovative, comprehensive, realistic and effective plans that meet client needs and expectations.
  • You operate in difficult, complex or political environments taking full responsibility for outcomes. You represent and promote the group internally and externally including at board level.
  • You develop strategic partnerships and strong relationships with internal and external clients and maximize benefit for all the parties.
  • You help shaping and managing client expectations to grow projects portfolio on the account.
  • You lead and build effective delivery teams to meet business objectives and transition requirements.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Negotiation?, * Proven experience delivering large-scale IT service transitions and/or large transformation programmes, ensuring service readiness, stability, and continuous improvement across complex environments

  • Proven track record in client-facing delivery roles, managing senior stakeholders and ensuring high-quality outcomes across risk, vendor management, and continuous service improvement initiatives
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, with experience managing programmes delivering £1m-£10m annual revenue, including financial control, negotiation, and client relationship development
  • Broad understanding of managed services and IT domains (e.g. Cloud, Infrastructure, Service Desk, Cyber Security, SIAM), with the ability to operate across multiple service lines and offerings
  • Experience supporting business growth and innovation, including client engagement, bid/proposal input, capability development, and leveraging technology to enhance service outcomes
