  • Conduct product quality audits and perform daily monitoring and verification activities outlined in the HACCP program, recommending corrective actions when deviations occur.

  • Perform microbiological and analytical sampling of products and the production environment as required.

  • Support daily quality and food safety decision-making using established processes to ensure products meet Greenleaf Foods, Maple Leaf Foods, and customer requirements.

  • Complete data entry and data analysis accurately.

  • Prepare samples and participate in sensory evaluations.

  • Provide support and coaching to employees and production management to maintain and improve facility quality assurance practices and procedures.

  • Participate in projects, meetings, system updates, and continuous improvement initiatives that advance food safety and product quality.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Work in hot and cold production environments and in areas that may be wet or humid.

  • Stand and walk for the majority of an 8-hour shift, plus any required overtime.

  • Use hands extensively and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.

  • Bend, reach, twist, and lift repeatedly, including lifting up to 30 pounds.

  • Work safely around moving equipment and within active food manufacturing areas.

  • Maintain attention to detail while managing competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

  • Follow all required safety, sanitation, food safety, and personal protective equipment procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a HACCP-recognized facility in a food safety or quality assurance role.

  • FSQA experience in food processing or manufacturing is highly preferred; familiarity with WSDA and FDA product standards is required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems; SAP experience is highly desired.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to work independently, manage competing demands, and adapt to frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
