Job description

Join the State of Connecticut’s Department of Children and Families as a Senior Salesforce Developer, supporting mission-critical systems in a hybrid work environment. This is a high-impact, long-term contract opportunity where you’ll play a pivotal role in full stack Salesforce development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain both legacy and next-generation applications. [Responsibilities]

  • Drive the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to implementation and ongoing support
  • Design, develop, and optimize Salesforce applications using APEX, Lightning components, and Visualforce Pages
  • Collaborate closely with system integrators to facilitate seamless knowledge transfer for the new CT-KIND system
  • Apply advanced OOP principles, CRUD operations, and design patterns in daily development tasks
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all phases of the SDLC
  • Lead integration efforts and provide analytical input for application enhancements and process improvements
  • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout project cycles

Requirements

5+ years of advanced Salesforce development experience

  • Expertise in APEX, Lightning pages, Visualforce, SOQL, and Salesforce configuration
  • Strong foundation in object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Experience in full stack development within the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and self-management capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills [Preferred Skills]

  • Experience with large-scale government or public sector projects
  • Familiarity with CT-KIND system or similar child welfare platforms
  • Salesforce certifications (Developer, Advanced Developer, Architect)
