Senior Python Developer

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise-grade applications using Python. Build and maintain scalable REST APIs and backend services. Develop and support event-driven architectures leveraging Kafka and distributed messaging technologies. Collaborate with architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to design technical solutions that meet business requirements. Participate in code reviews, peer reviews, and technical design discussions. Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. Develop and execute unit, integration, and functional testing strategies. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions. Work with large datasets and complex SQL queries to support application functionality and reporting needs. Support containerized application deployments within OpenShift environments. Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices across the team. Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, and delivery activities. 5-10 years of software development experience, preferably 7-8 years. Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Python as a primary programming language. Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting production-grade applications. Experience with modern Python versions (Python 3.x). Strong experience building REST APIs and backend services. Experience working with event-driven architectures and distributed systems. Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-based processing. Strong SQL skills with experience querying and analyzing large datasets. Experience with enterprise integrations and service-oriented architectures. Ability to participate in architecture discussions, solution design, and technical decision-making. Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring team members. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Experience with Trino, Starburst, Hadoop, or other large-scale data platforms. Experience with Python frameworks such as: FastAPI Flask Django OpenShift experience. Experience deploying and supporting containerized applications. Exposure to cloud-native architectures and modern DevOps practices. Experience working with high-volume enterprise data platforms.
