Job description

As a Data Scientist at Conclusion Intelligence, you combine deep analytical skills with hands-on Machine Learning expertise to create intelligent solutions that deliver real business impact. You design and build predictive models, uncover patterns in data, and turn insights into practical, scalable applications that help clients make smarter decisions.

You operate in an international, multidisciplinary environment where you work closely with Data Consultants, Data Engineers, Software Engineers and other specialists. You understand their domains and know how to bridge data, technology, and business needs. You think creatively, communicate clearly, and enjoy advising customers on how ML and AI can optimize processes, reduce risk, or unlock new opportunities.

Your day-to-day work spans the full analytics lifecycle: identifying opportunities, preparing and transforming data, selecting and training models, validating results, and presenting insights in a way that drives action.

You feel at ease working with both structured and unstructured data, and cloud technology is a natural part of your workflow.

  • Identify trends and patterns that create predictive value
  • Transform raw data into high-quality features
  • Detect irregularities and provide actionable insights
  • Visualize findings to support discussions with customers
  • Design and train ML models (classification, clustering, regression)
  • Develop mathematical and statistical optimization models
  • Research new approaches to maximize value from data

Requirements

  • Common ML algorithms (decision trees, Bayesian methods, ensemble models, regularization techniques, instance-based learning)
  • Deep learning and neural networks
  • Data mining, feature extraction, and CRISP-DM project methodology
  • Advanced SQL and proficiency in R and/or Python
  • Experience with classification, regression, clustering, and text analytics

Tools & platforms

  • Microsoft SQL Server or Azure SQL
  • Azure Data Lake & Azure Machine Learning
  • Hadoop/HDInsight, Blob & Table Storage
  • R Studio & R Services (Visual Studio / SQL Server)
  • Power BI for analytical visualization
  • Experience with Cortana Intelligence Suite is a plus, A Data Scientist who feels at home in a client-facing, problem-solving environment and enjoys turning data into meaningful outcomes. Someone who is both analytical and pragmatic where you are able to experiment, iterate, and deliver solutions that work in the real world.

You bring:

  • Experience designing and training ML models for practical business challenges
  • Strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning, including classification, regression, clustering, and text/sentiment analysis
  • Ability to translate insights into clear visualizations and recommendations
  • Experience working with large datasets, feature engineering, and data preparation

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams
  • A proactive mindset where you are curious, collaborative, and eager to explore new techniques
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, being able to communicate in German is a strong plus, given our international and cross-border client landscape
  • Hybrid working is part of the role; flexibility to work from the office and at client locations is required, and a valid driver’s license is essential
