Mainframe Database Engineer - Chandler, AZ (Hybrid, 12-Month Contract), Join a leading technology team as a Mainframe Database Engineer, where you’ll play a vital role in managing IBM DB2 for z/OS environments and their replication products. Be part of a dynamic environment that values technical excellence and innovation., Install, upgrade, and maintain IBM DB2 for z/OS and replication products (Qrep, SQLrep, CDC)

• Conduct certification testing and document operational procedures
• Execute disaster recovery testing and ensure systems resilience
• Provide 24x7 on-call support as part of a rotation, including off-hours troubleshooting
• Collaborate with support teams, vendors, and management to resolve technical issues
• Apply advanced analytical and debugging skills to deliver high system availability

Proven expertise with IBM DB2 for z/OS and replication technologies (Qrep, SQLrep, CDC)

• Strong track record in software installation, upgrades, maintenance, and testing
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting abilities

Preferred Skills

• Experience with BMC for DB2 Tools, IBM z/OS Connect, Software AG ADABAS/Natural
• Programming proficiency with REXX
• Familiarity with SQL, JIRA, SMP/E, RACF, TCP/IP, network certificates, Splunk
• Understanding of CICS, IMS, MQ mainframe subsystems, Word
