Job description

Join a dynamic, enterprise-level team as a MidLevel Data Analyst. In this contract role, you’ll tackle complex data quality and reconciliation projects across vast, multifaceted datasets. Your work will play a crucial role in shaping data-driven business decisions, improving data clarity, and ensuring reliable facts are derived from imperfect data sources. This is an exciting opportunity to deepen your expertise in analytics, work hands-on with Databricks and SQL, and gain exposure to varied business domains., Evaluate and assess data quality, coverage, and consistency across multiple enterprise data sources.

  • Identify, investigate, and document gaps, mismatches, and inconsistencies in source data.
  • Analyze and reconcile ambiguous or conflicting records to help determine operational fitness.
  • Translate business rules into actionable logic for extracting reliable information from noisy or incomplete data.
  • Conduct exploratory analysis using Databricks and support ETL-oriented data investigations.
  • Compare new and existing datasets to identify strengths, weaknesses, and tradeoffs.
  • Produce clear, actionable recommendations and validation findings for both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate proactively with domain experts to validate business logic and clarify data assumptions.
  • Maintain structured documentation of analysis, business rules, exceptions, and decision frameworks., Exposure to complex, high-impact data projects spanning multiple business domains.

Requirements

Proficiency in SQL and analysis of large, messy enterprise datasets.

  • Hands-on experience with data quality assessment, profiling, and reconciliation.
  • Working knowledge of Databricks.
  • Familiarity with basic ETL concepts and data flow validation.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with ambiguous data and infer reliable patterns using business logic.
  • Comfort investigating edge cases and documenting findings.
  • Eagerness to learn new business domains and engage with subject matter experts.
  • Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in enterprise data domains (ERP, HR, CRM, Billing).
  • Proficiency with Python, notebooks, or BI tools for exploratory analysis and reporting.
  • Experience documenting business rules and system behavior in a structured format.
