Senior Data Analyst

Join a high-impact Supply Chain team as a Senior Data Analyst and drive smarter decision-making through advanced analytics, automation, and business intelligence. In this contract role, you will use your technical expertise to transform complex supply chain data into actionable insights directly shaping inventory management, sourcing, equipment operations, and process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, growth-minded environment at the heart of the utility industry. Responsibilities

• Partner with Supply Chain, Sourcing, Equipment, Inventory, Construction, Emergency Restoration, IT, and external stakeholders to capture and deliver on data and reporting requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports using Tableau and other BI platforms.
• Write, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL queries, datasets, and data extracts from enterprise systems like Maximo, ERP, and EDW.
• Develop Python automation to streamline data preparation, quality checks, reconciliation, and analytics workflows.
• Analyze supply chain performance, supplier data, inventory levels, demand trends, service levels, spend, and key operational metrics.
• Create and communicate clear, timely, and actionable reports and analytics to business partners and leadership.
• Support supplier evaluation, sourcing analysis, and continuous improvement with robust, data-driven reporting.
• Assess risks, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions through performance monitoring and root-cause analysis.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on supply chain applications, dashboards, and reporting platforms.
• Participate in system enhancements, process documentation, application testing, and cross-functional project teams.
• Lead training sessions and develop user guides for analytics tools and reports.

Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or closely related field preferred.

• 5+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or similar analytical roles.
• 2+ years hands-on Tableau experience (dashboards, calculated fields, data sources, scheduling, optimization).
• 3+ years hands-on Python experience (data analysis, automation, transformation, quality validation).
• 5+ years advanced SQL skills (joins, aggregations, CTEs, views, optimization).
• Experience with enterprise data warehouses, relational databases, ERP systems, or supply chain applications.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into actionable data solutions.
• Strong communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel preferred. Preferred Skills

• Experience with Maximo, Cognos, MySQL, SOX-compliant reporting, and data governance.
• Utility, energy, construction, inventory, procurement, or broader supply chain industry background.
• Deep knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, sourcing, and operational KPIs.
• Experience designing and standardizing reporting processes and metrics.
