• Enhance and modernize core Event Horizon messaging platform components
• Build robust, fault-tolerant distributed systems processing high-volume events
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new platform features and capabilities
• Implement asynchronous, event-driven architectures and efficient messaging solutions
• Develop APIs, microservices, and integrations powering multi-channel promotions
• Influence technical strategy through active participation in architecture discussions
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in distributed environments
• Contribute to CI/CD automation and operational excellence initiatives

5+ years of professional software engineering experience

• Advanced Golang application development skills
• Proven experience with distributed systems and microservices
• Hands-on expertise in building REST APIs and backend services
• Proficiency with messaging/event-driven platforms
• Strong knowledge of cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization
• Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced team

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Kafka, Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS, or similar messaging tools
• Building platform-level services for multi-team use
• Experience with high-volume, consumer-facing applications
• Background in ecommerce, promotions, or customer engagement platforms
• Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
